Information:


Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses and tubes. This helps prevent fluid loss and contamination of the oil system.
Drain the hydraulic oil tanks of all the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

Support drive shaft (1) near the front axle with an appropriate floor jack. The weight of the drive shaft is approximately 14 kg (31 lb).

Remove bolts (2) in order to disconnect drive shaft (1) from the flange on the front axle. Use the floor jack in order to carefully lower the front end of the drive shaft to the floor. Lay the front end of the drive shaft to one side in order to improve access to the hydrostatic drive motor. Remove the floor jack from the machine.

Cut the cable strap that secures hose (3) to the brake cable. Make a note of the position of the cable strap for the purpose of installation.
Disconnect hose (3) from the hydrostatic drive motor. Move the hose aside.

Disconnect hoses (4) from the hydrostatic drive motor. Move the hoses aside.

Disconnect electrical connector (5) from the hydrostatic drive motor. Move the electrical connector aside.

Disconnect electrical connectors (7). Make a note of the path of harnesses (6) across the hydrostatic drive motor for the purpose of installation. Move the harnesses aside.

Disconnect hose (8) from tee (9). Move the hose aside.
Loosen elbow (11) at connector (10) for the hydrostatic drive motor.

Disconnect tee (9) from elbow (11) at connector (13). Move the tee and hose (12) aside.

Disconnect hoses (14) from the hydrostatic drive motor. Move the hoses aside.

Attach a suitable nylon lifting sling and a suitable hoist to the hydrostatic drive motor. Refer to the white arrow in Illustration 10. The weight of the hydrostatic drive motor is approximately 48 kg (106 lb).
Use the attached lifting equipment to support the weight of the hydrostatic drive motor.

Remove bolts (15) that secure the hydrostatic drive motor to the front axle.
Use the attached lifting equipment to separate the hydrostatic drive motor from the front axle.

Position a suitable pallet fork with suitable cribbing under the hydrostatic drive motor. Use the attached lifting equipment to lower the hydrostatic drive motor onto the cribbing and the pallet fork.
Detach the nylon lifting sling from the hoist and remove the hoist from the machine. Use the pallet fork to remove the hydrostatic drive motor from the machine.
