Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install tooling (A). Attach an appropriate lifting device to tooling (A) and install the swing drive. The weight of the swing drive is approximately 75 kg (165 lb).
Install bolts (6) .

Install shaft (5) into the swing drive.

Attach lifting strap (4) and a hoist to the swing motor.
Install the swing motor and swing brake valve as a unit. The weight of the swing motor and swing brake valve is approximately 32 kg (70 lb).

Install four bolts (3) into the swing brake valve.

Connect hose assemblies (2) to the swing motor.

Connect hose assembly (1) to the swing motor.
Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities".
