Setting The Beeper
The AccuGrade system includes a beeper. The beeper can be configured in order to provide an audible signal when any of the events that are listed in Table 1 occur.

Above Grade     Audible signal when the bucket is more than one times the vertical tolerance and less than four times the vertical tolerance above grade.     Continuous:

Avoidance Zone (the machine is within the warning)     Audible signal when the machine is within the warning distance of an avoidance zone or if the "No Avoid" message is displayed. The beeper also sounds in a continuous pattern when the machine is within the avoidance zone.
The beeper tones for the Avoidance zone cannot be disabled.     Once only:
200 msec on
200 msec off
400 msec off    
Below Grade     Audible signal when the bucket is more than one times the vertical tolerance and less than four times the vertical tolerance below grade.     Continuous:
100 msec on
100 msec off    
GPS Accuracy     Audible signal when the GPS accuracy mode changes.     Once only:
200 msec on    
Key/Switch Beeps     Audible signal when a key or a switch is pressed.     Once only:

200 msec on    Perform the following steps in order to access the "Beeper" screen.
The AccuGrade system must be in "Service Mode" in order to access the beeper setup options. At the "Setup Menu – Configuration" screen, press the "Down Arrow or Up Arrow" button until "Beeper" is highlighted.
Press the "OK" button. The "Beeper" screen will appear. Refer to Illustration 1.Events that are disabled are identified by an X in the box. Events that are enabled are identified by a check mark. Events that cannot be disabled are identified by a grayed-out check mark. Sub-events that cannot be disabled independent of their master event are also identified by a grayed-out check mark.

Press the "Down Arrow or Up Arrow" button in order to select different events.
Press the soft key that is on the right hand side of the display in order to enable or disable an event.The different events emit different beeper patterns. To hear the pattern for a particular event, press the "TEST" soft key when the event is selected.
Do one of the following.
Press the "OK" button in order to confirm the setting. The beeper setup is saved. The "Beeper" screen is closed and the "Setup Menu – Configuration" screen appears. The changes take effect immediately.
Press the "ESC" button and then press the "OK" button in order to return to the "Setup Menu – Configuration" screen
