To prevent possible personal injury, make sure the air pressure in the system is zero before any lines are disconnected.
2. Release the air pressure in the system.3. Disconnect hose assemblies (1) and (2) from the tube assemblies.
Typical Example4. Remove the bolts and cover (5) from the back of the hydraulic tank.5. Remove the cotter pin and pin, and disconnect cable assembly (3) from the hoist control lever.6. Remove the nut that holds cable assembly (3) in place in the box, and remove the cable assembly.7. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (6) from the hydraulic tank.
Typical Example8. Disconnect hose assemblies (7) and (10) from the hydraulic tank.9. Remove the bolts that hold tube assemblies (9) to the hydraulic tank, and disconnect the tube assemblies.10. Remove the bolt and nut (8), and two mountings (11) from the hydraulic tank and bracket assembly. 11. Remove two bolts (12) to disconnect converter charge filter (13) from the hydraulic tank. 12. Disconnect hose assemblies (14) and (15) from the hydraulic tank. Make sure all of the necessary hose assemblies and tube assemblies have been disconnected before removing the hydraulic tank.13. Fasten a hoist to hydraulic tank (17). Remove bolts and two caps (16). Remove the hydraulic tank. The weight of the hydraulic tank is 367 kg (810 lb).Install Hydraulic Tank
1. Fasten a hoist to hydraulic tank (17). Put the hydraulic tank in position on the frame, and install two caps (16) and the bolts that hold them.2. Connect hose assemblies (15) and (14) to the hydraulic tank. 3. Position converter charge filter (13) and use bolts (12) to install it to the hydraulic tank.4. Put two mountings (11) in position, and install the bolt and nut (8).5. Make sure the O-ring seals are in place in tube assemblies (9) and hose assemblies (7) and (10), and connect them to the hydraulic tank.6. Make sure the O-ring seals are in position in the end of hose assemblies (4) and (6), and connect them to the hydraulic tank.7. Put cable assembly (3) in position in the box, and install the nut that holds it in place.8. Put the end of the cable assembly in position on the hoist control linkage, and install the pin and cotter pin. See Specifications for 785B Truck hydraulic system for the correct procedure to adjust the hoist control linkage.9. Install cover (5) on the box.10. Make sure the O-ring seals are in position in the end of hose assemblies (2) and (1), and connect them to the hydraulic tank.11. Make sure all of the hoses have been connected to the hydraulic tank.12. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.
