The dimensions of the excavator bucket must be recorded for the Cat® "Production Measurement Application" to function correctly. The bucket dimensions must be defined to aid the measurement system in determining the load status of the truck. When adding a new bucket to a machine, the operator or technician must complete four steps to locate the correct submenu. From the "Main" Menu, select the "Work Tool Select" Menu. Select a tool from the "Work Tool Select" Menu. After the tool has been identified, press the Tool Dimension soft key which is the center soft key icon, on the bottom of screen. See Illustration 2. The monitor then displays the dimensions screen for the selected bucket. Press the soft key below "Bucket Measure-Up" icon that is left of the center soft buttons to advance to the "Bucket Measure-Up" Menu. See Illustration 3.
