The relay can be removed by loosening the thumbscrews and then pulling out the relay. The relay has adjustable pickup and adjustable time delay settings. The relay settings are programmable in the field. The display for the generator multifunction relay (1) contains a menu for different settings. The relay can be programmed by the touch pad that is located on the relay. The GMR is connected to the PLC with a cable for serial communications.Both the alarm and the shutdown are displayed. These operations are indicated by a flashing lamp and a sounding of the alarm horn. The reset for the alarm and the reset for shutdown are controlled by the engine control switch (ECS).The protective relaying functions of the GMR that are set at the factory for cooldown on trip include the following functions:
